The following is my dealing with activision support, it would be a day when these game studios would hire real engineers to develop these games. Anyway, looks like someone fucked up the network side. take a look

Hello,
Unfortunately I do not think this is currently possible. Since the Co-op game runs on the single-player executable the net port command may not work the same way or at all as it does on the multiplayer executable. *

Thanks for the tip. We tried forwarding the port 289xx to PC1 and 289xy to PC2 but still no success.

Hi,
It sounds like you'll need to configure your router as well.
Make sure the ports your using are being forwarded to the computer using them. *

Both players have the latest patch v1.1 of codWaW installed.

How do two players behind the same router connect to a CO-OP server over the internet? We have tried adding the arguements "+set net_port 289XX" for player 1's COOP game launcher and "+set net_port 289XY" for player 2's coop launcher shortcut with no success. As soon as second player behind the same router connects, both players get disconnected from the server. They both have unique cd-keys. MULTIPLAYER game works just fine.
