First of all, this isn't about banning him. I just wanted to know something from the Admins.
Ok, what is the criteria on an offensive name? I don't know about you guys, but I find his name rather disturbing. I know he plays regularly on BH, so you peeps might've seen him.
Back to my point, I've seen admins ask players with the name N****r or Faggot to change their name. But why won't you ask a player with 'Anal' in his name, not to change his? Ok, 'Anus' is the medical term for the ass, but EXP at the end... that just makes me wonder why noone ever asked him to change his name. You'd probably also ask me to change my name if i'd come to BH with the name 'Penis' or 'Vaginal High score'.
I personally don't hold a grudge against him, I just wanted to ask the Admins on how his name got through the 'censors'.

I personally dont agree with you. I would let the game names Penis and Vagina and just about all iterations of the words go. There is a big difference in the names you have seen people asked to change and the ones you suggest including anal exp. The words Nigger and Faggot arent just rude or distasteful, they are hateful and thats what I dont accept. I dont really see who the name Anal Exp offends except maybe people who dont like taking it in the ass but do anyways lol. The word Anal refers to more then just the anus and anal sex and is not considered a offensive word in the dictionary. I think the name Rapist might be a much more offensive word used for a name considering that someone might know someone that was raped, however, I would still not make anyone change their name because the term is now often used when "raping" people in game.

In the end I think there is a fine line between acceptable and not. For instance, the name Child Molestor might be pushing it a bit too far in my opinion because that would be rude, offensive, and unnecessary. I might make someone change that name but its hard to say. The word Molestor would obviously be fine and the word Child would be fine, but together they are a bit of distasteful. Would it make any difference if it were the word pedophile instead?

I dont know, I personally do not have a problem with his name and the only person that I've ever asked to change his name was the player using the alias "Nigger Hater" because like I said, I dont accept hateful words or statements. The name is not only rude, offensive, and hateful, but it could also instigate others into bigger problems.

Redrum was there when I kicked that player and I felt I explained myself well before kicking him, because he of course didnt see anything wrong with the name.

In the end, I DO NOT accept hateful language towards a race, gender, sexual orientation, animals(lol), or players on the server depending on the context. I also will not accept some other offensive and unnecessary language or names.


Anyways, thats just my two cents on the issue, I'm sorry I couldnt support you on this one, but feel free to try to convince me otherwise.

Anal is actually a person name in the US if you believe it or not...it's said An Al, usually African American or some where along those lines. I'm not an admin but I was one once. I understand your view and understand it completely.

N****RS is a horrible name. So is anything else that is bigoted against any Race, Gender, Sexual Preference, or even just making fun of another player specifically. If other players find it offensive to them I try to help them as best as possible.

Yeah, with that name, I'd let it be up to the players attitude to determine whether or not they are ok to use the name.

I am also against the use of racial names myself, and will support Vic & the others (GDIC) whole-heartedly in this decision. Personally, I truly hate the era of 'slavery' that the narrow-minded, inbred, bigoted white man did to the African Americans back in the 50's or whichever era, and I strongly wish that it (era) truly NEVER had happened - at ALL. It has created hatred & animosity towards white people even for our generation today (which, is not really fair, we were still swimming in our dad's teabag... lol), and I wish it (the racism) would someday soon END. If there ever, truly ever, was an anarchy type, ice age cold, or whatever type war in the future (whatever is created in the future) - I would personally want that American MAN/WOMAN by our side.
