[Armageddon]

Today there was a complaint about AutomaticMan's moveing, and fireing patterns. I told them the next time he was on I would spec him. Well he came on a while after that so I speced him. Everything seemed alright, mabey a little sketchy, or glitchy, but nothing that isn't expected with lag. That is untill he got an M16. He fired 6 shots like it was an automatic, then I counted him fireing 4 shots like it was an automatic. I confronted him about it and he left without any problems. If anyone wants more details please don't hesitate to ask. I had made a more detailed post, but somehow got logged out while typeing so when I hit submit it was all lost.

Has anyone played with him before? He said he plays on the servers alot, and he seemed like an alright guy. Can anyone back this up?

um...the same can happen with G3, u just have to set your firing button to scroll up or down, or script so that m16 and g3 can fire automaticly

Yeah, he can easily do it with scripting. Anyways, I'm thinking that some scripting should be banned :p

Well, I dont think all scripting is necessarily cheating or bad, but when you think about it, theres a fine line between how the game was meant to be played, scripting, and hacking. While hacking is using software to exploit weaknesses in the games coding, using scripting is to an extent using software to alter the way you play the game. The thing is, it will be hard to punish for only certain scripting because where to you draw the line between ok and not ok?

I think the automatic pistol is an example of this. While you can just assign the attack function to the scroll wheel to simulate the scripting for it, an automatic deagle can prove to be very hard to survive as korosuke will show you.

I dont know, I just think theres a fine line between scripting and hacking.

i agree with vic. i think that scripting is exploiting the game the way the creators didn't intend. it ruins the fun and i think it should be banned.

Whats the difference of how we do things now?

We can only kick people without spectating them if they have high ping. In every other instance we should be spectating them. Spectating for hacks and scripts is what we do as admins, at least its what the admins should be doing to be thorough.

How do you even admin a server Huiyu? Just play on it and check on peoples pings when you start to lag? lol Oh I know what you do. You come to BH2 after I've been watching the server all night, and when I have a good game going and am competing for first place, you not only join my competitions team so you can try to kill me, you make me kick the laggers taking me out of the game and out of the race for first place so you can keep playing the game you just joined. Then, when I go back to watch BH because you are there watching BH2, you go back to BH because you are tired of the lag on BH2( you know, the lag you are supposed to help fix) lol

Anyways, thats why I tell people that being an admin isnt all fun and games and kicking people. It actually does require some work if you want to do it well.

I'm nearly positive that he has either scripted his deagle to be automatic or made his scroll wheel his attack button to make his deagle full auto.

yeah, that's why when i spec him i feel he's firing damn fast. i think jay told me he has something. huiyu is fast too, he told me that's he's finger pressing speed. haha, fag.

I fire my Deagle fast, but I owe that to playing too much Halo for PC. The plasma pistol was great when fired fast lol. I learned to float my hand over the mouse.

LOL, YOU PLAYED HALO PC TOO? I was the god of halo pc at my school while it was all the rage :) I could headshot a guy on a warthog (moving, of course) from across the map...thats how sad i was.

LOL omg....Halo for PC/Mac was popular until us (yr9) stopped playing it....then less than 2 months, the y7 and y8 kids are following in our footsteps, playing halo on their mac lol.
